Asmedia Drivers Windows 10

1. I found a different driver for the Asmedia controller. The driver that comes with the final release is very buggy. The following link goes to driver 1.16.26.1, which has a release date of 6/3/2015, which is earlier than the 7/9/2015 driver that comes with windows, and seems to have a different numbering scheme than the 10.0.10240 that was released with the 10 final, but at least it works.
2. ASM1142 integrates ASMedia self-designed PCI Express/USB 3.1 PHY, and it also integrates two internal regulators to supply normal core power and suspend core power, supporting the driver on Windows 7, Windows 8.0, Windows 8.1 and various Linux Kernels.

Microsoft Windows driver for AKiTiO Thunderbolt storage products.

This driver is only required if your device or the disks inside the storage enclosure are not recognized properly (e.g. after hot plug) and you have already followed all the troubleshooting steps in our FAQ about Thunderbolt 3 products that are not recognized. In most cases, the device will also work without the installation of this driver.

Go to Device Manager (right click on My Computer, choose Manage and then find Device Manager in the left panel), or right click on Start Menu for Windows 10 and select Device Manager 3. Hey Asus fans, I notice that there are no Win 10 x64 ASMedia drivers on the Asus driver download page. Many other drivers seem to be updated for Win10 with this board but no mention of the ASMedia ones. Do I even need them? Running 2 SSD's and a HDD. Also a few others missing (drivers and software) if I compare the list under Win 8.1.

1. Download and store the driver on your computer.
2. Extract the files from the ZIP archive.
3. Double-click on the setup file to start the installation and click Next.
   
4. Accept the terms and click Next.
   
5. Wait for the installation to complete and click Finish.
   
6. When prompted, restart your computer.

Asmedia 3.0 Drivers Windows 10

1. Download and store the driver on your computer.
2. Extract the files from the ZIP archive.
3. Connect the Thunderbolt device to your computer.
4. Open the Device Manager. You can find this utility in the Control Panel under Hardware and Sound.
5. Click View and select Devices by connection. Find the Standard SATA AHCI Controller where the Thunderbolt device is currently connected to. The device will be listed under the name of its built-in drive (e.g. INTEL SSDSC2CT120A3).
   
6. Right-click on the Standard SATA AHCI Controller and select Update Driver Software...
7. Browse your computer for the driver software and select the folder where the downloaded driver is stored. For AMD processors, select the amd64 folder and for Intel processors, select the i386 folder.
   
8. When prompted to install the dirver from Marvell, click Install.
   
9. Once the driver has been installed successfully, you should be able to see the new driver version (e.g. 1.2.0.1035) and the name Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller.
